New word every day

Overview

Every day, one secret word shared by all players. Each guess gets a 0–100 proximity score, a rank within the 1,000 closest words and a temperature. Proxime runs on ConceptNet Numberbatch, so neighbours are related by meaning rather than spelling, and it ships the accounts, cross-device history, archive and reveal tools the category leader never had.

The problem

  • The category leader ranks words with FastText: neighbours look alike instead of meaning alike.
  • No accounts, no persistence across devices, a dated interface.

The Tellter answer

  • Conceptual embeddings, a matrix-only backend that answers in microseconds, and a modern animated interface.
